Class Descriptions

While all levels are welcome in any of our classes, it’s always helpful to have some information on how our classes differ from one another, and what you’ll likely encounter in each one. In addition to trying out new classes, each instructor brings something fresh and unique to the studio, so be sure to experience a range of instructor’s styles as well.

Expect to breathe and flow through this moving meditation, where your strength, flexibility, balance and cardio come into harmony. Students should come prepared to be challenged, to sweat and to have fun. Class is recommended for those with an existing Yoga practice.

Bala Power Flow

Expect a slower but still challenging vinyasa flow. We will be holding postures for longer periods of time allowing students to slowly expand to more challenging variations when ready. This class is great for beginners or those looking to build your foundation with focus on alignment and breathe. 

Bala Slow Flow

The perfect complement to your Vinyasa practice. Yin is both mentally introspective and physically expansive. Yin Yoga consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses to traction and lubricate the tissues and joints in the body. This class is perfect for those looking to unwind, breathe, and relax. 

Prop Recommendations: 1-2 blankets, 2 blocks, 1-2 bolsters 

Bala Yin Yoga

This one is for the Mamas! Our prenatal practice offers a gentle vinyasa flow designed to keep women safe through all stages of pregnancy. Expect yoga postures that relieve common aches and pains along with postures and mindfulness exercises to provide strength during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum healing. Use this class to prepare your body for the miracle of birth, all while deepening your relationship with yourself + baby surrounded by a supportive community. Be sure to ask about our prenatal + postnatal membership options!


This class is designed to wake up and feel the work of a targeted muscle group. Each class will flow into postures that really activate and build strength. 

Bala Strong : Core, Arms, Legs, Glutes

Bala Yoga is excited to offer curated barre movement classes now at the Fremont studio. Designed to compliment your yoga practice, each class is forty five minutes of dance technique combined with a fusion of pilates, physical therapy, & wellness practices.
