In this introductory 4 week series, you will be exposed to the basics of mindfulness meditation. The series is geared towards beginners or experienced practitioners wanting to get back to basics. The classes will include a combination of lecture, discussion and practice. The series will set up students to have a solid home meditation practice. Practices include seated breath focused meditation, eating meditation, walking meditation and lovingkindness meditation.
Please wear comfortable clothing for a short and gentle posture practice. Dressing in layers is recommended. Participants will be sitting on the floor for meditation.
Pamela Chang ERYT-500 is a senior yoga teacher, specializing in the quieter practices of yoga such as Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Level 1 Vinyasa, Intro to Yoga workshops and Yoga Nidra. As a teacher, Pam encourages students to follow their own path, finding balance between accepting themselves as they are and pushing their limits. She is committed to bringing joy, understanding and kindness to every class. Her goal is to guide others to finding happiness from within and to show everyone that they are already perfect and whole. Pam is grateful for the opportunity to share yoga with others.
