It has been too long! Les Leventhal’s influence has been a part of Bala Yoga from the very start. Not only did studio owners, Mike & Gabriela Baiocchi study under his guidance, but many of the Bala instructors you know & love today were a part of his very first trainings at Bala Kirkland. Les recently moved back to the U.S. and will be returning to Bala Yoga for his homecoming this May. Join him for a Teacher Tune Up Training, Weds thru Fri, and a weekend of public workshops, Saturday + Sunday.
You’ve been teaching for years, are a new teacher, yet to start teaching or a student that’s seeking to connect/reconnect to your passion(s) and find your authentic voice. In this immersion, we will do some writing that investigates the voice that is already inside and how to express yourself clearly. We will have time to create marketing material so that you can see, more clearly, the directions you dream of going and then start moving in that way with resources that keep you motivated. Safe sequencing to peak poses and assisting will also be covered. In this immersion, your voice will be heard. Challenges as both a teacher and student will be explored. Come reconnect with us. This course is accredited for 24 hours CEU with Yoga Alliance.

Les owes his new life to yoga. It is because of this he gifts his yoga, and his life to others. A life that journeyed Les from rock bottom to a world of endless possibility, he infuses fun, laughter, inspiration and transformation into all of his classes. His appreciation for all that is, radiates in all that he does.
Completing his teacher training in 2005 with the renowned Ana Forrest and assisting her with subsequent trainings, his studies are steeped in Forrest tradition. He has completed several trainings with Tias Little from which he has acquired much of his alignment and technique cues, as well as a firm foundation in the 8 Fold path of Buddhism. Les’ flow yoga has now reached the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and soon to reach the UK and Europe. He has been featured twice in Yoga Journal magazine, interviewed by Darren Main, author of Yoga and The Path of The Urban Mystic, and by Joe Sarti of Voice America – Your Life Without Limits.
Les weaves in the 8 limbs of yoga, keeping the traditional styles a part of his classes while opening a window into our global cultural shift. He provides the opportunity to heal your heart, sweat, sing, laugh, cry and just let go. Many classes have music. You’re encouraged to modify throughout, doing what you need to take care of your practice and allowing the ’rasa’ (the sap or juice) to flow freely.
