Bala Yoga is seeking a Studio & Community Coordinator to contribute to Bala Yoga’s expanding community. The ideal candidate enjoys customer service, community building, and wants to work as a part of a cohesive team. This candidate is positive and hard-working with an excitement for our brand, with the ability to multitask. Your daily tasks will include checking in clients, setting up livestream for class, engaging and building community both in-person and online, and keeping the studio clean and organized.

Bala Yoga is fun, fast-paced and filled with magnetic energy—you’ll never be bored. As Studio & Community Coordinator, you’ll be building a community and assisting with daily studio tasks, with an interest in marketing and design. You will work closely with the Studio Manager and Marketing Director, as a self-starter with a high attention to detail. You will participate in the daily success of the studio. You will be responsible for providing our members with an incredible customer experience both in-person and through our digital channels. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

More specifically, here are a few additional details about the roles / responsibilities of this position:

Studio Coordination

  • Provide high level customer service and hospitality to clients
  • Take ownership of studio to ensure space is clean and well-stocked
  • Provide support to the Karma Yogis to ensure a successful class check-in process
  • Manage the training and development of new studio staff
  • Assist the Studio Manager in daily sales tasks
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to execute studio specific marketing, workshops and events
  • Support updating marketing materials

Community Building

  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
  • Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
  • Proactively engage and build relationships through Bala Yoga’s Instagram account
  • Participate in local Sammamish groups and forums to present offerings or serve community
  • Develop and coordinate community initiatives (ambassador and influencer programs)


  • Must have superior customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines and communicate clearly with team members, clients and leadership.
  • Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule – some weekend, holiday and some early morning/late evening availability required!
  • Adobe CC or design software experience a plus
    A personal passion for yoga is a plus!

This position is full time, and is salaried plus commission structure.
